Markward Knights' Tent, 5 x 8 m, 425 g/m2, natural colour
Last items in stock
Markward's Knight's Tent, 5 x 8 m
This square medieval tent offers enough space for any purpose, whether as a medieval market stall, canopy or sun protection cover (no sidewalls) or as a sleeping tent for about 8 occupants with their belongings and equipment. The all-round valance makes it a real eye-catcher. With a few helping hands, the tent can be assembled and disassembled quickly. Due to the high side walls, you have enough space wherever you are. This rider's tent is truly versatile. The two individually detachable sidewalls can be easily removed or fixed with hooks and eyelets and give you the freedom to leave one side or the other open, or simply leave both walls out and use the tent as a canopy.
The Markward knight's tent is treated against mold and mildew. Thanks to its particular fabric (twill), the 100% cotton canvas is exceptionally tear-resistant and virtually water-proof, making this medieval tent an indispensable piece of equipment for medieval markets, military camps or LARP events.
Our tents and tarpaulins have already been waterproofed. To maintain/restore the water repellency of your tent or tarpaulin and enjoy its use for a long time, we recommend regular treatment with a waterproofing spray, e.g. PLUVONIN .
The tent is supplied in complete set, i.e. with poles and accessories.

Pugio de Vindonissa with silver inlays
Last items in stock
Pugio de Vindonissa with silver inlays This beautiful, richly ornamented replica of a Roman dagger is an example of great craftsmanship. Both the riveted cable and the front cover of the sheath feature a very elaborate silver inlay. The wooden sheath is covered in leather, with four characteristic riveted brass suspension rings for proper attachment to the belt. The blade has a total of four narrow fullers tapering toward the tip. The edges are not sharp. Our reproduction follows the model of an archaeological find from the Roman legionary camp of Vindonissa, now Windisch, Switzerland. The apple displays a trident, symbol of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. This may suggest that this Pugio was originally created for an officer in the Roman naval forces.

Viking Sword Rus , Petersen D, Gnezdovo, C-2 Barrow, 10th C
This beautiful one-hand Viking-era sword is based on a find discovered in 1950 at the gnёzdovo archaeological complex near Smolensk, Russia, during the excavation of tomb C-2. Dated between the 9th and 10th centuries and classified as Type D according to the typology of Petersen's Viking sword, the original piece was in a pit under the remains of a funeral pyre inside the tomb.Although the finely crafted and richly decorated handle (believed to be the product of a Gotlandese craftsman) was still remarkably well preserved, the blade was broken and folded. Despite its rather precarious state of conservation, it was still possible to detect engravings on its surface: an "O" shaped symbol on one side and the remains of a cross on the other. It is not yet clear whether these marks were the blacksmith's identifiers or if they were added later.Although its property cannot be clearly established, the materials and quality workmanship used in the drafting of this sword suggest that it was probably once the prestigious weapon of a noted Viking Rus chief or warrior.

Setting up the tent is a relatively easy task that can be completed quickly and stress-free thanks to the loop system. The posts can be adjusted in length to suit your needs. When assembling the tent, make sure that the ropes connecting the roof angles and the stakes continuously follow the lines of the tent seams and that the stakes are properly aligned with the bottom corners or loops of the tent. Do not overstretch the ropes , as natural materials such as wood or cotton change under the influence of air humidity and need room to contract and expand. You can prevent, for example, the roof holes for the poles from being distended and ultimately making it easier for water to enter. We recommend loosening the ropes a little at night, as the humidity in the air increases considerably at night and can increase the risk of excessive stress exerted on your tent. The ropes should also be loosened a little in rain or high atmospheric humidity.
When assembling the side wall, it is best to start from the opening side of the tent. As an additional preventive measure against moisture and mold, the walls of the tent should not touch the ground as much as possible (this does not apply to tents with tarpaulin). If the tent has been exposed to moisture, we strongly recommend that you dry it after use, as otherwise it is likely to mold. Wooden poles should never be wrapped in plastic or anything like that. Once the poles are dry, a cotton cloth is perfectly sufficient. Do not, under any circumstances, use detergents or any other cleaning products to clean your tent. The best way to remove dried dirt is to use a brush. As for storing your tent for a long period of time, separate all the accessories (stakes, ropes, etc.) from the tent itself and preferably pack everything separately. Make sure all items are dry and stored in a dry place.

Baldur's Sword, Windlass
In the pantheon of Norse deities, Baldur was the son of Odin and Frigg (i.e. brother of Thor and Loki) and as such was destined to reign after Odin. Beloved by all the gods except Loki, Baldur is known for providing joy to all those who spend time with him. In Old Norse poetry, Baldur's death is described as a tragedy and a foreshadowing of Ragnarök.In honor of the lesser-known brother, this classic Viking sword was designed as a tribute to Asgard's most beautiful limb. The leather hilt of this sword is laser-engraved with the three runes that Windlass believes best suit the Norse god. Some scholars believe that the name Baldur means "bold," which is why the rune of courage was added. In his attempt to protect Baldur from danger, Frigg asked everyone to swear never to hurt him (except the mistletoe), so the protection rune was also added. Finally, Baldur was also known to always be prepared for battle, and so the rune of strength completes the arrangement. The blade is engraved with runes that roughly translates as the spelling of "Baldur". The leather hem (with integrated belt) is covered by a layer of black suede, which is adorned with a high-quality leather upper and collar. A Viking symbol for the sun is depicted on the head and throat, as Baldur was known to all who knew him as a shining light.Includes matching wooden hem with suede cover.Manufactured by Windlass Steelcrafts. Please note that this sword is not a battle-ready weapon. It is designed as a collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat reenactment. In addition to the collector's quality, it is also perfectly suited as an accessory, for example, to complete your fantasy.Details:- Blade material: 1065 high carbon steel- Overall length: approx. 95 cm- Blade length: approx. 79 cm- Blade thickness: approx. 4 mm- Cable length: approx. 10 cm / full handle approx. 16 cm-Max. The tents are handmade, which gives them an authentic look on the one hand, but can also result in one or two minor defects on the other hand. Cotton is a natural material that reacts differently depending on various outdoor conditions and can shrink or expand considerably. As a result, the iron poles included in the delivery may not immediately fit into the designated holes. In certain cases, you may need to shorten the posts a bit to size. Do not attempt to stretch the skin of the tent by force, as this increases the risk of the tarp tearing or the stitches breaking.Important information about the assembly, handling and maintenance of our historic tents:You can extend the life of your Viking tent, Roman tent, Saxon tent, Knights tent, medieval tent, commercial tent or medieval market stalland enjoy its use for a longer time by observing the following precautions:

Viking short sword, Petersen L type, cut practice, SK-B
This battle-ready Viking sword was developed in close cooperation with fencing and martial arts instructor Volker Kunkel and his West-Coast-Institute. Unfortunately, Volker did not live to see the launch of this small series on the market. He passed away very early, in April 2021.The goal was to offer a sturdy, yet light and well-balanced sword, ready for battle, with a smaller budget. Here, Volker contributed his many years of experience as a fencing teacher, trainer, and traveling merchant in medieval markets. The Ulfberth® team and their blacksmiths have implemented these specifications and the result is a battle-ready Viking sword with a great value for money.Based on the original from 9 to 10 c. examples found in Britain and classified as Type L according to Petersen's Viking sword typology, features a blade forged in spring steel, which has been hardened in oil and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-52 HRC. The very wide fuller makes it flexible and lightweight. The sword comes with approx. 2 - Edges 2.5 mm thick and tip rounded and relatively wide, which makes it eligible for combat on stage.Like many surviving historical examples of the time, the pommel is a two-part construction: the trilobed upper section is fixed to the curved base by means of two rivets, and the complete spike of the blade is solidly hammered into the lid of the pommel. This sword is available with two different blade lengths (select the model you need from the drop-down menu: short = 64 cm / long = 74 cm). The short version is particularly ideal as a beginner's sword for fencers who are not yet very strong.Matching leather sheaths with sword belt (product no. Intercisa I Ancient Roman Helmet made of 1.2mm steel, century3/4 Details:- Material: 1.2 mm steel (18 gauge), inlay- Maximum head circumference: approx. 61 cm- Long distance (from back to front): approx. 20 cm- Short distance (ear to ear): approx. 19 cm- Height: approx. 14 cm- Cheek pads dimensions (L x B): approx. 13 x 10 cm- Weight: approx. 1.2 kgThis beautiful Roman helmet is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, authentic, and affordable helmet. The so-called Intercisa helmets belong to a group of Roman helmets found in the fort of Intercisa, located in present-day Hungary. A total of about 15 to 20 fragments of late Roman iron helmets were found at the site, four of which could be reconstructed. These helmets, classified as Intercisa I-IV, date from the late 3rd or early 4th centuries and all share two distinct features. Firstly, the skull is made up of two segments joined by a central crest or crest. Second, there is no base ring, which was common in helmets of the same period, such as the Berkasovo type (also known as the late Roman ridge helmet). This detailed reconstruction of the Intercisa I is made of 1.2 mm steel and features all the typical features of this type of helmet. Particularly striking are the eye motifs in the forehead section, which sit above the wearer's actual eyes and face directly forward. The ear holes, typical of this Roman helmet, are formed by special cutouts both in the bowl of the helmet and in the cheek protectors. The neck and cheek protectors are riveted securely to the helmet with sturdy leather straps. All edges are reinforced with a leather finish and an adjustable, riveted leather lining ensures a customizable fit and optimal comfort.Suitable for re-enactment, LARP, stage or film/TV, this fully wearable helmet is best suited for late Roman environments and is ideal for completing the armour of a Roman legionnaire. Of course, it will also be a great addition to any helmet collector's treasure chamber.Order now and get a piece of Roman history!Specifications may vary slightly from part to part. The steel used here is not rust-proof and may have slight surface stains in places. We recommend that you regularly maintain helmets (and armor) in general, for example by using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideal for steel care.
