Medieval Battle of Visby Gauntlets, 14th c.Steeland leather, various colorsThese gauntlets are based on a find from the site of the battle of Korsbetningen (Gotland Island, Sweden), just outside the city walls of Visby, where an army of Gutnish farmers and peasants fighting against the Danish conquest of Gotland was crushed by the forces of King Valdemar IV of Denmark (Valdemar Atterdag) on 27 July, 1361.The battle gauntlets we offer here are made of 2mm thick leather and 1.2mm steel. The upper leather features riveted metal plates that entirely cover the back of the hand and the five fingers. It is riveted into an inner sleeve made of supple leather. The long riveted leather cuff is reinforced with oblong steel plates on the inside and equipped with an adjustable leather strap and a brass buckle for a comfortable and personalized fit on the wrist.This pair of articulated leather and plate grips offers a combination of safety, freedom of movement and comfort of use. It is best suited for late medieval settings and particularly suited to the depiction of a 14th-century Northern European warrior. Belt in white, Leather strap without buckle, various colors

This high-quality leather belt is made of thick buffalo leather (approx. 3.5mm grain leather) and vegetable tanned.
It is supplied without a buckle and can therefore be customized as a way to put together your own individual look. The surface and edges of the belt are elaborately polished and given a light-colored finish, giving the leather its characteristic appearance of use.
The length of the strap is 120 cm and can be individually shortened at the rear end. To do this, loosen the screws, cut to the desired length, and drill new holes. Once everything is reassembled, snap it on with a belt buckle and reattach with the screws. (The following is required for this job: screwdriver, cutter, awl, belt buckle).
The holes on the front end of the belt are pre-drilled and you can find several buckle variations for this 4 cm wide belt in our store.
This belt can be used by both men and women. So, whether as a Viking, pirate, or simply in everyday life, this belt can be used for many different looks.
