Technical information about finishes:

Stainless Steel: The main advantage of using stainless steel is, as its name suggests, protection against oxidation. Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel does not need a surface treatment to protect it from oxidation. All of our blades are forged and tempered in the traditional way. The use of sabers and swords as parry weapons no longer justifies the use of carbon steels that reduce the life of the blades.

Napoleonic Cuirassier Sword 1801
Despite the decreasing effectiveness of plate armor in the face of increasing effectiveness of firearms, the French cavalry in Napoleon's army still wore cuirass (medieval-style breastplates and backs) with mixed success. They were somewhat useful for deflecting musket and long-range pistol fire (we stress "a little"), but when the cuirassier's attire was paired with a helmet adorned with a feathered gorgon's head and ponytail, then a rather imposing figure on his way into battle. The accounts of the survivors of the British armies attest to the petrifying spectacle of compact groups of cuirassiers emerging from behind the French front lines.
This is his sword; The French cuirassier sword model 1801 is a heavy cavalry sabre with a straight blade, as the French preferred the blow to the blow or cut. This replica weighs just over 1,360 g, enough to perform a spear-type attack. The distal tapered blade is over 1/4 inch thick at the handle and is double-cut like the originals. It comes sharpened from the factory. Brass protector and button. Leather-wrapped handle with wire wrap.
Comes equipped with a steel sheath.

Medieval sword with sheath
On 21 July 1403, the Battle of Shrewsbury (Shropshire, England) saw Henry IV of England win over an army led by his former supporter, Sir Henry Harry Hotspur Percy of Northumberland (made forever famous by Shakespeare in his 1598 story). play Henry IV Part I). Percy, who turned against the king and allied himself with Owain Glyndwr, the rebel leader of the Welsh Revolution from 1400 to 1415 (also known as Glyndwr Rising), was killed during the scuffled, causing his army to disperse and the rebellion to fall apart.
Named after this decisive battle, the original Shrewsbury Sword, classified as Type XV by Ewart Oakeshott, is kept in the Wallace Collection.

Viking Sword Rus , Petersen D, Gnezdovo, C-2 Barrow, 10th C
This beautiful one-hand Viking-era sword is based on a find discovered in 1950 at the gnёzdovo archaeological complex near Smolensk, Russia, during the excavation of tomb C-2. Dated between the 9th and 10th centuries and classified as Type D according to the typology of Petersen's Viking sword, the original piece was in a pit under the remains of a funeral pyre inside the tomb.Although the finely crafted and richly decorated handle (believed to be the product of a Gotlandese craftsman) was still remarkably well preserved, the blade was broken and folded. Despite its rather precarious state of conservation, it was still possible to detect engravings on its surface: an "O" shaped symbol on one side and the remains of a cross on the other. It is not yet clear whether these marks were the blacksmith's identifiers or if they were added later.Although its property cannot be clearly established, the materials and quality workmanship used in the drafting of this sword suggest that it was probably once the prestigious weapon of a noted Viking Rus chief or warrior.

Baldur's Sword, Windlass
In the pantheon of Norse deities, Baldur was the son of Odin and Frigg (i.e. brother of Thor and Loki) and as such was destined to reign after Odin. Beloved by all the gods except Loki, Baldur is known for providing joy to all those who spend time with him. In Old Norse poetry, Baldur's death is described as a tragedy and a foreshadowing of Ragnarök.In honor of the lesser-known brother, this classic Viking sword was designed as a tribute to Asgard's most beautiful limb. The leather hilt of this sword is laser-engraved with the three runes that Windlass believes best suit the Norse god. Some scholars believe that the name Baldur means "bold," which is why the rune of courage was added. In his attempt to protect Baldur from danger, Frigg asked everyone to swear never to hurt him (except the mistletoe), so the protection rune was also added. Finally, Baldur was also known to always be prepared for battle, and so the rune of strength completes the arrangement. The blade is engraved with runes that roughly translates as the spelling of "Baldur". The leather hem (with integrated belt) is covered by a layer of black suede, which is adorned with a high-quality leather upper and collar. A Viking symbol for the sun is depicted on the head and throat, as Baldur was known to all who knew him as a shining light.Includes matching wooden hem with suede cover.Manufactured by Windlass Steelcrafts. Please note that this sword is not a battle-ready weapon. It is designed as a collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat reenactment. In addition to the collector's quality, it is also perfectly suited as an accessory, for example, to complete your fantasy.Details:- Blade material: 1065 high carbon steel- Overall length: approx. 95 cm- Blade length: approx. 79 cm- Blade thickness: approx. 4 mm- Cable length: approx. 10 cm / full handle approx. 16 cm-Max. Medieval Tewkesbury sword with sheath
The Wars of the Roses, fought between 1455 and 1485, were a series of battles for the English crown between the Houses of York and Lancaster. Both families were members of the same European royal dynasty, the Plantagenets, who ruled England for the past three centuries. These civil wars (punctuated by brief episodes of relative peace) owe their name to the respective emblem of rival families, a white rose for Yorkers, and a red one for the Lancastrians. After 30 years of political plots and terrible bloodshed, the family dispute led to the end of the Plantagenet dynasty and the rise of the House of Tudor.

Viking short sword, Petersen L type, cut practice, SK-B
This battle-ready Viking sword was developed in close cooperation with fencing and martial arts instructor Volker Kunkel and his West-Coast-Institute. Unfortunately, Volker did not live to see the launch of this small series on the market. He passed away very early, in April 2021.The goal was to offer a sturdy, yet light and well-balanced sword, ready for battle, with a smaller budget. Here, Volker contributed his many years of experience as a fencing teacher, trainer, and traveling merchant in medieval markets. The Ulfberth® team and their blacksmiths have implemented these specifications and the result is a battle-ready Viking sword with a great value for money.Based on the original from 9 to 10 c. examples found in Britain and classified as Type L according to Petersen's Viking sword typology, features a blade forged in spring steel, which has been hardened in oil and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-52 HRC. The very wide fuller makes it flexible and lightweight. The sword comes with approx. 2 - Edges 2.5 mm thick and tip rounded and relatively wide, which makes it eligible for combat on stage.Like many surviving historical examples of the time, the pommel is a two-part construction: the trilobed upper section is fixed to the curved base by means of two rivets, and the complete spike of the blade is solidly hammered into the lid of the pommel. This sword is available with two different blade lengths (select the model you need from the drop-down menu: short = 64 cm / long = 74 cm). Medieval sword with sheath
Reproduction of sword, made of metal with plastic cover and removable. The cross and the pommel of the sword bear a vulgar Latin inscription meaning: "Custody by a dragon that does not sleep, in the name of truth."The sword was usually the weapon of choice of medieval knights for combat. Its owners liked to customize it - some even received names - and was considered both a weapon and a symbol - the blade and cable are cross-shaped.
