This double-edged, one-piece sword, which shows the typical features of crusader-wielded swords in the high Middle Ages, is a reconstruction of a 13th-century Oakeshott-type find and maintained at the St. Annen Museum in Lübeck, Germany. Although the original archaeological piece was heavily eroded after its recovery, a detailed examination revealed the high level of craftsmanship its manufacture required. A notable feature is its impressive length, which is quite unusual for one-hand type XII swords.

This two-handed clay sword (derived from the Scottish Gaelic word claidheamh -mòr, which translates simply as "great sword") is modeled after the impressive double-edged long swords wielded by the famous Scottish Highlanders during clan conflicts and border wars with the English crown between the 15th and 17th centuries.
