9th Century Saxon Sword with sheath
CAS Hanwei blacksmiths excelled with the recreation of a 9th-century Saxon sword, replicating a technique used by the Saxons and Vikings and producing an impressive blade that features a standard welded core with high-carbon edge sections. This technique was used by the blacksmiths of the old days as a means of producing blades (only for the rich) that were sharp, sturdy and decorative, and 1,100 years later, CAS Hanwei made them accessible.

Baldur's Sword, Windlass
In the pantheon of Norse deities, Baldur was the son of Odin and Frigg (i.e. brother of Thor and Loki) and as such was destined to reign after Odin. Beloved by all the gods except Loki, Baldur is known for providing joy to all those who spend time with him. In Old Norse poetry, Baldur's death is described as a tragedy and a foreshadowing of Ragnarök.In honor of the lesser-known brother, this classic Viking sword was designed as a tribute to Asgard's most beautiful limb. The leather hilt of this sword is laser-engraved with the three runes that Windlass believes best suit the Norse god. Some scholars believe that the name Baldur means "bold," which is why the rune of courage was added. In his attempt to protect Baldur from danger, Frigg asked everyone to swear never to hurt him (except the mistletoe), so the protection rune was also added. Finally, Baldur was also known to always be prepared for battle, and so the rune of strength completes the arrangement. The blade is engraved with runes that roughly translates as the spelling of "Baldur". The leather hem (with integrated belt) is covered by a layer of black suede, which is adorned with a high-quality leather upper and collar. A Viking symbol for the sun is depicted on the head and throat, as Baldur was known to all who knew him as a shining light.Includes matching wooden hem with suede cover.Manufactured by Windlass Steelcrafts. Please note that this sword is not a battle-ready weapon. It is designed as a collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat reenactment. In addition to the collector's quality, it is also perfectly suited as an accessory, for example, to complete your fantasy.Details:- Blade material: 1065 high carbon steel- Overall length: approx. 95 cm- Blade length: approx. 79 cm- Blade thickness: approx. 4 mm- Cable length: approx. 10 cm / full handle approx. 16 cm-Max. Celtic Shortsword, from 3rd to 2nd century BC, with leather hem
Swords with anthropomorphic fist are rare archaeological discoveries. This leads to the assumption that such swords may have been ceremonial weapons reserved exclusively for warriors of higher position. The limited size of these daggers and swords (approx. 50 to 70 cm) further corroborates this theory. However, they were still functional and could have served as secondary weapons for longer swords. The profile of the handle remained quite squeematic at first, but its human form became more graphic in the course of the 2nd century BC, with a head-shaped pommel.
The sword is equipped with a copper guard, a brass and bone handle and a steel blade.

Dune Dune Viking Sword with Scabbard, 10º C
This beautiful Viking sword is a reconstruction of an original find dated to the period between 950 and 1050, and is classified as an X type according to Petersen's typology of Viking swords. The inscriptions on the blade are a distinguishing feature of the original sword, which is now in the collection of the Musée de l'Armée in Paris, France. One side is marked with the well-known inscription of the manufacturer ULFBERHT, a Rhineland blacksmith's shop believed to be one of the earliest "marks" of swords (with about 170 swords dating from the 9th to the 11th c., with the same inscription +VLFBERHT+, and found throughout Europe, even in western Russia). The other side bears the inscription DUNE + DUNE XX, a supposed abbreviation, the exact meaning of which is still unknown. The replica offered here has a straight, double-edged blade with sharp edges, not sharp. Like the original find, the wide fill is engraved with the inscription VLFBERH+T on one side and DUNA + DUNE XX on the other. The handle consists of a short steel guard with rounded ends, and a wooden handle wrapped in brown leather, which ends in a "tea cozy" pommel made of steel. The sword comes complete with a brown wooden and leather scabbard with a steel plate and a wooden hanging loop (maximum belt width of 5 cm). Please note that this medieval sword is not a battle-ready weapon. It is designed as a collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat re-enactment. Functional Saxon Sword

The Seax, or Sax, is a weapon that has been carried by most people so far in northern Europe. Loaded and used by the Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and German tribes, their first use probably dates from before the fall of Rome and continued until the early Middle Ages. The Seax pattern varied greatly from the small 7- and 10 cm-long blade knife to the royal swords from 68 to 71 cm, but always from a single end. The original version of this large knife was used as much as field work, such as cutting work, on board the ship and to combat whether the sword or axe were not available.
