Replica of a hoplite sword from ancient Greece. The sword has a non-sharp blade made of spring steel. In the middle of the blade there is a pronounced central crest, typical of ancient weapons of this type.
The very nice cable is solid and polished.
The sword comes with a leather covered wooden hem with mouthguard and brass locating. These adorn the head of a lion on both sides.

The hoplites of Ancient Greece, the brave infantrymen best known for fighting in a phalanx formation and wielding a spear or spear (dory) and a large round shield (aspis or hoplon), are commonly depicted with a secondary weapon at their side.
