The extra long puffed sleeves are made of a thinner, sheer cotton fabric. They have slits up to the shoulder and are tied at the upper arm with a drawstring. The cuffs of the sleeves are decorated with hand-sewn partial gatherings.
This cotton dress can be worn as a bottom dress or top dress. Dresses and overdresses with particularly wide sleeves were common in the twelfth century.
