Medieval Meira Dress with Velvet Details, wine red
This floor-length dress has a loose fit and is individually adjusted to the body with bows at the belly and back. The bottom of the sleeves is also lacy and can be adjusted.
Cotton velvet details, such as the hems, shoulders and high collar, give the dress an imposing character. The skirt is wide widened and swings particularly beautifully thanks to the wide velvet hem.
This medieval lace-up dress is versatile and offers everything from the Middle Ages to Gothic to LARP to build a great base at great cost.
Velvet arrived 14 years ago. in the Mediterranean region and was predominantly woven in the Italian style. The elaborate design and the fact that the fabric was mostly made of silk made velvet robes unique garments. Velvet was very popular in Burgundy fashion and during the Renaissance.
Details:
- Available sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL
- Color: wine red/red (also available: black)
-Material: 100% cotton
- Total length for size M: approx. 150 cm (measured from the highest point of the shoulder)
Care Instructions:
Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as this will cause the velvet to wrinkle irreversibly. Velvet should also not be ironed, as this will cause the hair to lose depth. We recommend brushing light stains with a laundry brush in the direction of the battery. If there is more serious contamination, we recommend taking the dress to the laundromat.

Medieval Cotehardie Ava Dress, short sleeve, brown
This medieval long dress made of solid cotton fabric (canvas) has a cut at the waist. On the skirt part, the so-called geren (fabric wedges) are used, which create a generous hem width. The center of the front is tied with a strong cotton ribbon - so that the women's dress can be individually adapted to the body. Thanks to the nest tips at both ends, the ribbon can be easily pulled through the embroidered eyelets. To keep the dress as authentic as possible, the bow has been deliberately used here, even if it is much more time-consuming than a zipper. The cut of the dress is based on medieval depictions from the 13th to 15th centuries. While women's clothes were quite loose before this time and concealed the shapes of the body, the clothes now became more and more hugging the body. Originally bred in France from the loose cotte, the Cotehardie (more or less bold cotte in German) probably owes its name to this body-hugging cut.Typical for a cotehardie are the lace or buttons in the center of the front. These only appeared at that time and finally allowed a tight adjustment. The ever-increasing neckline was also characteristic of these dresses and very popular with women in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Usually, the cotehardie was paired with an undergarment, a veil, and a narrow belt. A short-sleeved cotehardie was also often worn with lapel sleeves, which were attached to the sleeve hem with a pin.Depictions of a Cotehardy of the time can be found, for example, on the June calendar page of the Duke of Berry's Book of Hours, a French illuminated manuscript (original title: Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry), or in the Book of Simple Medicine (Virgin and Unicorn), illustrated by Robinet Testard, both from the 15th century.Details:- Available sizes: M, L, XL, XXL- Colour: brown (also available: wine red, green)- Material: 100% cotton- Total length in size M: approx. 145 cm (measured from the highest point of the shoulder)- Care instructions: Machine wash at 40°C, gentle cycle, not suitable for tumble drying. We recommend washing the natural color tape separately.

Ingrid in a medieval dress with lace on the back, in natural color
Details:
- Available sizes: S, M, L, XL, XL
- Color: natural (also available in black)
- Material: 100% cotton
- Total length for size M: approx. 150 cm (measured from the highest point of the shoulder)
- Washing instructions: Machine wash at 40°C, gentle cycle, do not tumble dry.
This long medieval dress, made of lightweight cotton fabric, looks simple at first glance, but on closer inspection, it reveals a beautiful neckline in the back. The deep back is laced with a drawstring, allowing for individual adjustment of the dress. The darts on the bust ensure a good fit. The extra long puffed sleeves are made of a thinner, sheer cotton fabric. They have slits up to the shoulder and are tied at the upper arm with a drawstring. The cuffs of the sleeves are decorated with hand-sewn partial gatherings.
This cotton dress can be worn as a bottom dress or top dress. Dresses and overdresses with particularly wide sleeves were common in the twelfth century. They were not only elegant, but also a status symbol, since wearing wide sleeves was impractical for the working class. To protect their valuable outer garments, often richly decorated and fitted to the body, men and women of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries wore a simple dress with trumpet sleeves underneath. This dress was usually hidden, as it was considered inappropriate. Broad-sleeved depictions from the twelfth century can be found, for example, in the fresco of Santa Elena in the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Milan and in the illustrated encyclopedic work Hortus Peliciarum (c. 1180).
In the fifteenth century, dresses with trumpet sleeves came to be worn under a short-sleeved cotehardie (a fitted dress with ties or a button-down placket at the front). Before that, the dress was visible.

Before that, the dress was visible.

copy of Medieval woman dress
This wide-cut medieval dress is a floor-length dress with so-called gores on the sides. Gores, wedge-shaped/triangular-shaped pieces added to expand the shape of a garment, gave medieval clothing a generous touch.
The gathered neckline is based on a textile archaeological fragment found in Pskov, Russia, and believed to have belonged to a 10th century Viking dress. It has a slit in the front and can be closed with loops. The cuffs are also equipped with ties to create harvested sleeves.
