This replica follows the helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge's original, displayed at the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh. The "Great Helmet" was often worn on a smaller, lighter helmet (e.g., a secret helmet).

These helmets were common throughout Europe in the Middle Ages, and numerous contemporary, miniature and original images found in Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, etc. prove the popularity of this type of helmet. They were used during the famous battles. crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356).

The helmet comes with a comfortable and adjustable leather lining and chin strap with buckle.

Templario Crusader Helmet
Replica of a crusader's helmet, as was worn, for example, by the Knights Templar in the late 12th century.
It's a big flat helmet with long front plate. A very similar helmet is depicted in the unique and illustrated Maciejowski Bible.
The helmet is made of 1.6 mm stainless steel and features an adjustable leather lining.

with an appropriate robe. They wanted the typical cross to be seen that symbolized the
teutonic orders to fight for the liberation of Jerusalem.

Our tabards have a loose cut and are made following historical examples.

Also known as the barrel helmet (helmet pot or pot), the Maciejowski Helmet was the forerunner of what would later become the Great Elmo (or heaume) of the 14th century.

The so-called Great Helmet (also called a large helmet, large heaume, pot helmet, bucket helmet or barrel helmet) was often worn on a smaller and lighter helmet (e.g. a cervelliere/secret helmet) and was widespread throughout Central Europe in the Middle Ages. Numerous historical illustrations, miniatures and finds from Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, etc. testify to the popularity of this particular type of helmet at the time. These helmets emerged during the Crusades in the late 12th/ early 13th century. and were commonly used by knights until the mid-14th century.
