The Colichemarde appeared on the sword scene in the late 1600s, during the decline of the floret and the rise of the small sword. Its single-shaped blade, which was extra wide on the fort but then dramatically tapered to a thin needle, allowed the sword to be used to trim or even owe the heavier weapons without breaking, remaining light enough to be surrounded with the speed of light.

Cold Steel's interpretation of this sword (Colichemarde Sword, Product No. 88CLMS) closely reflects the historical original, from extra wide strong to super sharp. The handle has a double decorative protection, complete with fingers rings and articulating arch, while the handle is completely wrapped with wire and covered with a matching apple.

Cold Steel's Rondel Dagger is inspired by historical examples of the combative incarnation of this medieval dagger. Instead of a multi-purpose tool, this version was a specialized weapon, a side arm developed to combat, to pierce the mesh or heavy clothing and to escape through gaps in the armor of plates.

Roman subaromatic

Rondel Dagger

A rondel was a type of hard-bladed dagger in Europe in the late Middle Ages (from the 14th century onwards), used by a variety of people, from merchants to knights. It was used on the waist and could be used as a utility tool, or used in battles or fair tournaments as a side arm.

Bastard sword with blade forged in high carbon steel 5160. Increased guard thickness which makes it ideal for recreation. The hem is made of leather as the handle.

The first medieval swords (Oakeshott Type X11) are designed so that the sharp and blunt versions work identically. The sharp blade is filled with about two-thirds of its length, with a flattened diamond section to the tip. The blunt blade features a wide, flatter, more complete to move the dough to the edges for safety while maintaining a vivid feel. The cruciform handle is attractive and functional. A covered leather cover is included.

Sparring blunts have a longer time to balance thicker edges and a flattened tip section to provide the flexibility needed for safety.
