Late Roman Intercisa I Helmet, 1.2 mm Steel
Intercisa I Ancient Roman Helmet made of 1.2mm steel, century3/4 Details:- Material: 1.2 mm steel (18 gauge), inlay- Maximum head circumference: approx. 61 cm- Long distance (from back to front): approx. 20 cm- Short distance (ear to ear): approx. 19 cm- Height: approx. 14 cm- Cheek pads dimensions (L x B): approx. 13 x 10 cm- Weight: approx. 1.2 kgThis beautiful Roman helmet is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, authentic, and affordable helmet. This carefully handmade helmet offers excellent value for money and is an ideal addition to any Roman armor. The so-called Intercisa helmets belong to a group of Roman helmets found in the fort of Intercisa, located in present-day Hungary. A total of about 15 to 20 fragments of late Roman iron helmets were found at the site, four of which could be reconstructed. These helmets, classified as Intercisa I-IV, date from the late 3rd or early 4th centuries and all share two distinct features. Firstly, the skull is made up of two segments joined by a central crest or crest. Second, there is no base ring, which was common in helmets of the same period, such as the Berkasovo type (also known as the late Roman ridge helmet). This detailed reconstruction of the Intercisa I is made of 1.2 mm steel and features all the typical features of this type of helmet. Particularly striking are the eye motifs in the forehead section, which sit above the wearer's actual eyes and face directly forward. The ear holes, typical of this Roman helmet, are formed by special cutouts both in the bowl of the helmet and in the cheek protectors. The neck and cheek protectors are riveted securely to the helmet with sturdy leather straps. All edges are reinforced with a leather finish and an adjustable, riveted leather lining ensures a customizable fit and optimal comfort.Suitable for re-enactment, LARP, stage or film/TV, this fully wearable helmet is best suited for late Roman environments and is ideal for completing the armour of a Roman legionnaire. Of course, it will also be a great addition to any helmet collector's treasure chamber.Order now and get a piece of Roman history!Specifications may vary slightly from part to part. The steel used here is not rust-proof and may have slight surface stains in places. Medieval Cotehardie Ava Dress, short sleeve, brown
This medieval long dress made of solid cotton fabric (canvas) has a cut at the waist. On the skirt part, the so-called geren (fabric wedges) are used, which create a generous hem width. The center of the front is tied with a strong cotton ribbon - so that the women's dress can be individually adapted to the body. Thanks to the nest tips at both ends, the ribbon can be easily pulled through the embroidered eyelets. To keep the dress as authentic as possible, the bow has been deliberately used here, even if it is much more time-consuming than a zipper. The cut of the dress is based on medieval depictions from the 13th to 15th centuries. While women's clothes were quite loose before this time and concealed the shapes of the body, the clothes now became more and more hugging the body. Originally bred in France from the loose cotte, the Cotehardie (more or less bold cotte in German) probably owes its name to this body-hugging cut.Typical for a cotehardie are the lace or buttons in the center of the front. These only appeared at that time and finally allowed a tight adjustment. The ever-increasing neckline was also characteristic of these dresses and very popular with women in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Usually, the cotehardie was paired with an undergarment, a veil, and a narrow belt. A short-sleeved cotehardie was also often worn with lapel sleeves, which were attached to the sleeve hem with a pin.Depictions of a Cotehardy of the time can be found, for example, on the June calendar page of the Duke of Berry's Book of Hours, a French illuminated manuscript (original title: Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry), or in the Book of Simple Medicine (Virgin and Unicorn), illustrated by Robinet Testard, both from the 15th century.Details:- Available sizes: M, L, XL, XXL- Colour: brown (also available: wine red, green)- Material: 100% cotton- Total length in size M: approx. 145 cm (measured from the highest point of the shoulder)- Care instructions: Machine wash at 40°C, gentle cycle, not suitable for tumble drying. We recommend washing the natural color tape separately.

Technical information on finishes :
Stainless steel: The main advantage of using stainless steel is, as its name suggests, its protection against oxidation. Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel does not need a surface treatment to protect it from oxidation. All of our blades are forged and tempered in the traditional way. The use of sabers and swords as stopping weapons no longer justifies the use of carbon steels, which reduce the life of the blades.
24-karat gold plating: Gold plating is considered one of the best finishes available and adds extra value. Gilding is a durable, non-corrosive finish that provides excellent protection against oxidation. We use electrolytic baths that produce a gilding of 24 carats (approximately 99.3 to 99.7% gold). Gilding is also highly resistant to fading over time.
