First-scale armor dates back to antiquity (long before the Vikings existed). And not just through time, but scale armor protected soldiers and warriors from all over the world. Whether byzantine or Viking armor, the overlapping scale construction has been favored by all kinds of powerful warriors!
Our reproduction is HANDMADE from heavy-duty 20 gauge MILD STEEL scales riveted into a sturdy leather back, making it ideal for VIKING COSPLAY AND LARP. It fully covers the trunk, remaining quite light. It is available in three sizes: medium (chest 94-104 cm), large (chest 105-115 cm) and extra large (chest 116-126 cm) (Measure WITH gambeson) and is highly adjustable thanks to its multiple genuine leather straps.
