Rodrigo Díaz, Vivar del Cid, Burgos was a Castilian knight who came to dominate at the head of his own party the Levant of the Iberian Peninsula in the late 11th century, regardless of the authority of any king. He managed to conquer Valencia and established in this city an independent mansion from June 15, 1094 until his death.
