15th century English long sword
This is a reproduction of a long knight's sword from the early 15th century, which is believed to have been found on the River Thames before reaching the collection of the Tower of London. The original hand-and-a-half sword dates from about 1400-1430 and can be seen in the Royal Armouries Collection, Object Number IX.16. This is the kind of sword the English knights carried at the Battle of Agincourt. The rigid, sharply tapered blade ends in a robust but slender tip. This type of sword was used in one or two hands. In combat, the blade can also be wielded in half a sword, to better direct the tip to the gaps of an armored opponent and also to use the crossguard and the puto to fight and strike. The blade of this sword has three transitions, from a rich hollow rombudo next to the guard, to a hexagonal cross section and finally to the flattened diamond section point. A relatively agile sword, but with more blade presence than you might expect.

Arming sword of an English or French edge
Last items in stock
This is a replica of a sword from a wire from the mid-fifteenth century. The original was excavated in France (probably found at the site of the battle of Castillon-la-Bataille in 1453). The sword of one hand belongs to a group of more than eighty swords discovered in the same place and has been part of the Royal Armouries collection since 1984, object number IX.2638.This medieval chivalrous sword has a thin, remarkably wide single-edged blade with a wedge-shaped cross section and a false edge at the back of the blade. The quillons end in wavy tips, intended to contain the opponent's blade. The asymmetric handle is on the back of the blade and the squatting putt with a smell stopper makes the short handle comfortable to hold. This sword looks pleasantly maneuverable and is surprisingly light compared to its voluminous appearance.

Fifteenth-century medieval Leeds Brigandine
Last items in stock
Brigandina was the most common form of protection among commoners and nobles. On a fifteenth-century battlefield you can find all styles of bandits, from the most common archers to the most expensive and luxurious of the high-ranking nobles. A versatile form of protection that offers excellent mobility, a historic brigandine is characterized by its ingenious construction. It consisted of hundreds of small plates under a sturdy tarp or leather cover that gave it an iconic look, with every row of plates appearing elegantly on the exterior. Not only did it look very distinctive, but it was extremely comfortable, precisely because of the excellent mobility it allowed. All these parameters sustained the advantage of being able to be used for many hours, something that all the re-enactors respected and enjoyed for hours on the battlefields and long events. A brigandine was also quite effective in offering excellent protection, forming a perfect balance between having almost no movement impediment and retaining a significant amount of protection. It was usually worn by a private soldier, with chain mail underneath or simply a pair of chainmail sleeves, a kilt and a limited amount of armor (all available separately). Knights and soldiers wore it along with armor for the limbs and the rest of the body. So whether you want to recreate a fifteenth-century infantryman or a twenty-first-century soldier, MAKE SURE OUR BRIGANDINA LEEDS IS THE BEST POSSIBLE CHOICE! Directly inspired by an original found today in the royal arsenals of Leeds, England, you can be sure that it improves your mobility and offers important protection as you fight event after event, battle after battle, reenactment after reenactment.

Landsknecht Katzbalger sword, windlass
Last items in stock
From the 14th century, Swiss pikemen established themselves as the dominant mercenaries. But an equally brave and robust competitor appeared later, coming from Germany. Landsknecht troops challenged Swiss superiority in a "No Quarter" rivalry that lasted for years. The extravagantly dressed German mercenary Landsknecht lived a harsh and brutal life and was famous for his giant two-handed Flamberge sword. After using the Flamberge to break the line of pikemen from the enemy front line, a smaller one-handed sword was employed for the ensuing hand-to-hand combat - the Katzbalger. Not as sophisticated as its slightly frivolous-looking (but still deadly) looking big brother, the Katzbalger (which roughly translates to "cat's trough") was still highly stylized and was designed to be an effective slash-and-thrust sword. Carried by all Landsknecht troops, including the pikemen and arquebusiers, this sword had an ornate closed "S"-shaped guard and an extra-long, fluted hilt. The Katzbalger certainly respected its Renaissance roots. The beautifully rendered grip would make any Landsknecht proud. The flutes on the handle extend perfectly to the wooden handle, and the guard is expertly twisted into a spiral and ends in half spheres. The high-carbon hardened steel blade is adorned with a trio of fullers that lightly illuminate the blade. The black leather scabbard is lightly decorated with leather bands that cross and are tied near the throat and has a unique steel tip. The guard has approx. 11 cm wide. The blade is tapered distally, which helps to keep the weight of the sword at approx. 1.13kg.

14th-century Kusnacht Brigandine Armor
This beautiful 14th-century brigandine is directly inspired by the famous Kusnacht Brigandine found in a castle in Switzerland. It is one of the best known Brigandines of the fourteenth century and also one of the most popular today, both in medieval tournaments and battlefields, but also in Behourd and fair.
And there is little doubt as to why, because the intelligent design of the original we directly emulated offers an extremely high level of protection and maximum mobility. All plates overlap allowing the brigandine to diffuse any impact on the fighter's torso efficiently, because each plate that is hit by an impact actually overlaps with other plates, which actually allows the diffusion of any blow and allows incredible mobility at the same time; even give a high kick in this type of brigandine is totally possible! You would really appreciate the wide range of motion that overlapping pectoral plates allow you to do. Even using a long sword or a stem gun will really be a pleasure in this type of equipment.
Our protection is made of 20 gauge STEEL plates, carefully riveted on the inner surface of ROBUST GENUINE SUEDE LEATHER, whose shape is directly inspired by the original representation of 14th-century Bavaria. It is easily adjustable to your body, thanks to its different SIZES AVAILABLE and the leather straps carefully placed on the sides that allow you to adjust it, depending on the type of gambeson you are using. You will appreciate the sturdy leather on the shoulder that allows you to directly tie your shoulder pads to your brigandine in the most efficient way.
