The Lorica Segmentata has been used by the Roman army for over 200 years. The first discoveries were in Kalkriese, Germany, and are expected to come from the year 9 anno Domini.
Kalkriese is a presumed site of the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. Unlike later versions, for example, from Newstead, Corbridge and Kalkriese armor is adjustable in size. Our replica is suitable with a thoracic circumference from 116cm to 120cm. Of course, the final thoracic perimeter should always be measured, considering all the padded fabric.

The sica was a curved dagger on one side, with thrakian-illirian origin. In Rome, the sica was mainly used by gangs of thieves, who were called sicarii. This weapon was also used by the thraeces, a special type of gladiator.

This reproduction of a sica features the classic curved blade, which is made of en45 spring steel. The blade is not sharp.

The handle, with handles and guard are made of skilled crafted wood. A brass plate has been inserted into the guard to ensure safety.
