Tenth Century Gnezdovo Viking Varangian Rus Slavic Helmet 16th Gauge
Our reproduction is directly inspired by an original found in a tenth-century Slavo-Varghian settlement called Gnezdovo or Gnyozdovo, near Smolensk in present-day Russia. Many typical Scandinavian objects have been found simultaneously with this helmet, making it a good choice for those who want to recreate a Viking/Varangian/Russian/East Slavic character. However, this helmet may not be suitable if it depicts a western Viking raiding England.
This helmet is HANDMADE from 1.6mm mild steel (16 gauge) and lined with an adjustable genuine leather lining. From it hangs a riveted chain mail that protects the lower part of the face. An approximate circumference of 68 cm (unlined) (65 cm with lining) allows it to fit most head circumferences from about 58 cm to 61-62 cm, depending on the shape of the wearer's head. (If you want to wear an extra padded hat, measure the circumference of your head while wearing it.) A genuine leather chin strap, with solid brass buckle, keeps you in place battle after battle. It has a height of about 25.5 cm (without aventail), the internal width at ear level is about 21 cm and the internal depth from front to back at eye level is about 24.5 cm. It weighs about 4 kg and 12 grams.
Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can be easily cleaned with any degreasing product or even with a dry cloth.

Warlock Two-Handed Sword - Dull Blade
This two-handed sword is an interpretation of one of the silver swords from the popular "The Witcher" franchise . In this game from the developer studio CD Projekt RED, the sorcerer Geralt of Rivia always carries with him two types of sword: a steel sword, which he uses in the fight against human and animal opponents, and a silver sword, which the monster hunter uses against many different creatures. The most distinctive feature of this sword is probably the decorative element in the cross guard. This one is based on the brooch of Renfri from the first episode of the series adaptation "The Witcher". Background of the brooch based on the TV showThe wizard Stregobor attempted to hire Geralt to kill Renfri, as he believed she was under the curse of the Black Sun and therefore posed a threat to the entire continent.Renfri, on the other hand, wanted revenge against Stregobor, as her actions forced her out of her old life. She gathered a band of bandits around her and planned to force the wizard out of her tower with a bloodbath among the residents of Blaviken. When Geralt tried to dissuade Renfri and his entourage from his plan, a fight broke out between them, from which Geralt emerged as the sole survivor. He took Renfri's brooch and attached it to his sword as a reminder not to interfere in human conflicts. As a result of these events, Geralt became known as the "Butcher of Blaviken". The fullest part of this magnificent 420 carbon steel blade is adorned with gold lettering on both sides. Smiling at you at the edge end is the ornamental element mentioned above, which merges with the guard and, like the guard, is made of die-cast zinc. This is followed by approx. 15 cm long cable, decorated with diamond pattern. The whole thing is completed by an ornate pommel with a perfume cap, which is also made of molten zinc. When stowed in its leather-clad scabbard, this sword has approx. 117.5 cm long and weighs approx. 1.75kg.

Oakeshott XVI One-Handed Sword
The one-handed sword we offer here, classified as a Type XVI sword according to Oakeshott's typology, is an excellent example of a medieval sword that would have served at the beginning of the Hundred Years' War between England and France.Type XVI was mainly characterized by a broad, full blade, approximately 70 to 80 cm long with a flattened diamond cross-section and a broad, flat tang. The blade tapered steadily to a sharp point reinforced by a distinctive ridge. The fuller usually extended from the guard to one-half to two-thirds below the blade. Although there are some exceptions, the one-way handle usually featured a cross guard slightly bent toward the blade, and a wheel pommel (with or without beveled edges).Type XVI swords were particularly popular in the first half of the 14th century. Its emergence and spread coincided with the emergence of plate armor, which made it necessary to rethink blade designs. Since the chain had not yet gone out of fashion, the goal was to offer versatile swords that could effectively combine slashing and thrusting abilities and thus stand up to mixed-type armor. Although their sharp point and a rigid diamond cross-section were ideal for pushing into gaps and joints or piercing plate armature, they still remained capable of delivering powerful cuts and cuts. Our rebuild has a double-edged high-carbon steel blade that fills on both sides about two-thirds below its length. The edges are not sharp, while the tip is very sharp, and the full tang of the blade is skewered. The handle consists of a slightly curved steel transverse guard approximately 20.5 cm long, a wooden handle firmly tied in brown leather and a disc-shaped chamfered steel pommel with octagonal facets (Oakeshott Type I1, a popular variant in the 14th and 15th c.).The gorgeous wood-core sheath is covered in brown leather and comes complete with a carrying belt approximately 4 cm wide and 2 mm thick around it. The pre-drilled belt has a sufficient number of holes to be adjusted for a comfortable and personalized fit. Please note that this medieval sword is not a weapon ready for battle. It is designed as a collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat reenactment. In addition to its quality as a collectible, it is also perfectly suited as a prop, for example, to complete your outfit.
