This replica of an Italian iron hat i shand-forged 1.6 mm thick steel. The original is dated 1460.These helmets were worn not only in Italy, but for example. it is also very common in Switzerland and southern Germany, especially by infantry troops. The wide flap not only protects the head, but also the shoulders, chest and back from any danger that comes from above, such as the arrow of the end of the medieval arch.

Replica fully ready for the battle of a medieval kettle hat. Kettle hats emerged in the 13th century and were very popular with cavalry until the 15th century. The kettle hat was a precursor to the sallet (Schaller) that was developed in the late 15®th century. The thickness of the material is about 2 mm, up to 6 mm in the overlaps. In the helmet cap four brackets overlap that are arranged very decoratively in the form of cross. The kettle hat consists of two steel strips of the face, to which the leather straps with buckle are riveted.
