Springfield 1842 musket with percussion latch

The M1842 Springfield Musket was produced between 1844 and 1855 and used by the United States until 1865. This musket was the first American rifle to be built with a percussion lock, making it much more reliable and weather-resistant than rocket muskets.

This replica has an oiled rosewood barrel and a hardened steel barrel by 3 sturdy mats. The castle is marked with an eagle, USA and "Springfield 1846". At the front end of the barrel is the grain and an additional catch for a bayonet.

Our replica firearms are intended for decoration or re-enactment. The snouts weren't punctured, so the gun's not functional.
