The burgonet emerged in the 16th century of the sallet. At first it was very popular with the infantry, but then the cavalry also wore these helmets. It developed into the most used helmet during the 16th and 17th centuries.

This reconstruction has very typical helmet comb. Cheek protectors are flexible and dismountable. The helmet will be delivered with two bevors, one for folding and one barred. Of course the helmet can also be worn without any bevor.

This replica of an Italian iron hat i shand-forged 1.6 mm thick steel. The original is dated 1460.These helmets were worn not only in Italy, but for example. it is also very common in Switzerland and southern Germany, especially by infantry troops. The wide flap not only protects the head, but also the shoulders, chest and back from any danger that comes from above, such as the arrow of the end of the medieval arch.
The corrugated and crossed steel bands are riveted into the helmet. This consists of two parts that have been welded together in the center. Although the thickness of the material is "only" 1.6 mm, the helmet can be described as ready for battle.

Very authentic reconstruction of a medieval beard helmet. The original of this helmet is displayed at the Musée de l'Armèe in Paris. It is engraved with a seal from the Lombardtown of Missaglia, where it was probably made between 1460 and 1470 AD.
This reconstruction was done by the craft and strictly follows the example. It has the same fine cut, the same pronounced comb and decorated rivets. The helmet has a high-class adjustable leather inlay and is covered with leather inside.
